A TOUCH OF REALITY

WALKING OUT OF A FAILED SOCIETY

Somewhere along the way of growth, evolution and development, humans lost touch with reality. Everything became

Be the zest
Conquer with zest
Money is the trigger
Fame and power the vigour
We became lifeless
Machines working with machine
Chasing things that someone asked us to

Mechanization is the best thing that could happen to us, but it is also the worst thing. Everything became simple but the other side is that we lost touch with the reality. Machines make, we consume. Life became comfortable and easy but rarely do we alive. Happiness has become something to be earned. Things are done often out of compulsion and the need to stay in the race, rather than out of love and passion. We have started losing our commonsense. Consumption is at an all-time high, and is rightly being called overconsumption.

The saddest part is we are unwilling to pause and question our existence. Herd mentality, is the trend of the day. Glorifying destruction in the name of development, what for? no one knows. Running behind dreams, whose dreams? no one knows. Setting up a lifestyle, whose choice? no one knows. It is what is accepted so lets do it too- become a billionaire, get accepted- be in power and please the wealthy, easy way to stardom and hearts. It is not that we are not aware of it, most of the people I have spoken to knows that things have to change. They are aware that we are being forced to remain in a rat race.

Ask them why don’t you do something about it? And the reply- others won’t accept it or how can I single handedly bring change to an existing system or I don’t have the time or I am comfortable with what is. If you are comfortable, well and good, but don’t forget that everything you choose to do has a consequence, impact on people and life that didn’t ask for all this drama. Even when you think that you are in control, you are nothing more than a pawn in a string of agendas, in reality you are mindlessly playing this game for someone else.

Everything around us is done to keep the capitalism thriving- politics, healthcare, fashion, food industry, skincare and all the other rising economic outlets are not for us but for capitalism. The day when human race as a whole realise it, we are free. The day we find our soul and connect with our roots, we will be liberated. That day we will experience bliss, peace and freedom in its truest form.

We will understand that all this is for nothing and what matters is being alive in a way that matters and is passionate. We will understand that we are here to be the part of a system that is more meaningful than the consumerist world. The day we can see the world through a different lens and not one of greed and monetary gains, is the day we will truly evolve. Then we realise that trees, animals, land, water and even the ever silent rocks hold secrets. We will connect with them and the meaning of existence will be forever clear.

Take back your power, question things, find where your soul belongs. We can only borrow from nature, nothing is ours to keep- vanishing species, crumbling mountains, dying forests and losing humanity will rise again. We will be alive again. We will be members of a world that can see beyond me and I. Our world will thrive, poverty will vanish.

But it requires us to give up the ways that we are familiar with, step outside and experience life as is it should be. It requires us to unleash the power within us. The path to change lies within us.

BE THE CHANGE.
