A PERSONAL STORY

Growing up, I was ‘the good girl,’ Never stepping out of the line, things going wrong was my fault, and I would never say no. I wouldn’t voice my concerns even if something hurt me.

Why? Why because my identity was ‘the good girl,’ one that adjusts and adapts to everything.

I never questioned. I was full of respect and obedience no matter how the person behaved. I never asked why something must be as it is, even when something felt off.

But deep down, I knew something was not right. I knew that it was not what I wanted.

My little mind couldn’t understand what it was all about. All I cared about was fitting in and being good. I never dared think about ‘a me’ beyond the tagline given to me.

As the years went by the pressure was too much.

The question, “Why should it be the way it was?” kept haunting me. Thus began my journey of self discovery.

I lost my good girl tag. People called me the one who could have made it in life. That is, if I had obeyed the rules.

But this time, it didn’t bother me. I questioned everything and gave answers that felt like me.

The result was that I no longer fit into the groups I once belonged to. I was no longer the daughter that everyone longed for.

But now I am free, I have a sense of identity free from definitions. Most importantly I can feel and see things clearly.

Not fitting-in is a blessing

Initially, all the ridicule and harsh words will make you think something is wrong with you. But don’t fall for it. Understand that it is you making use of your ability to think.

You are not ready to follow the herd like everyone else. You value living, more than existing.

That is why I say that If you can feel deeper, see further and think clearer, you are blessed. You are truly alive.

You are not the outcast. It is just that people around you can’t see your vision. You are the way you are for a reason. Be grateful for it.

Remember to be the wildest, craziest and most authentic version of yourself. You never know who is looking for inspiration.

I was inspired by countless women. This is one of the videos that helped me break out of my shell. It encouraged me to work on creating an identity that I value and respect.

CONCLUDING THOUGHTS

If you feel like this world was not made for you, then you are right. Because this is a caged-up world, running on established ways and freedoms. But you are wild, dear!! There is, indeed, a thrill in taking calculated risks and dreaming wild.

Take note not to conform to this capitalist system and lose your spark. You are here for great things.

Being yourself is the greatest experience you can give yourself. But make sure that your living doesn’t harm or hurt any other being.

It is true, you are here to live and not to struggle.

Your thoughts are valid, and your dreams have meaning. Never let anyone tell you otherwise. Be proud of who you are. No two droplets are the same.

Keep Shining

Be the change.💕💕
