Does your life always feel heavy? Or does it feel like life is rushing by? Or does it feel like you are never alive? Or does it feel like something is off? You might find the reason and answer here.
Life often feels heavy because we try to live 50 years in a day. I know that it is not practical to live moment to moment in this world. With all the bills and deadlines glaring at us, it is quite normal to feel anxious. But find the balance.
Have plans, take steps, but don’t live in the tomorrows always. We can be all prepared, we can think about all the possible actions to be taken, but nobody knows what the next second holds. We might hit our greatest milestone or lose it all. So, living in the future unaware of the present, makes no sense.
Do what we have to do in this moment and be fully present. No one is taking away your goals and plans. Don’t let the end goal or the outcome take away the joy from the ‘process of becoming’. I know it is easy to say or type, because I have been there. I was a person who used to always fuss about the end result and the life I want. I was totally unaware of the life I was wasting, being heartbroken and being occupied too much.
Understanding Life
It is truly said that life can only be understood backwards. Hence, all the things happening today, is happening for a reason. And we are meant to completely experience it, learn from it or enjoy it and grow from it. It is not being focused on the end that reveals new ideas, focusing on the task at hand reveals the next step.
When I started this blog, my mind was focused on getting a huge number of readers. Hence I never felt excited about the posts I published. Because I was not getting readers. But then I remembered why I started. I wanted to express myself and my thoughts. That reminder grounded me. Now I experience each post I make. I only focus on the excitement and thrill of expressing myself. Hence I can enjoy blogging. Of course there is the goal or dream of getting more readers, but that is not the only aim. The aim is to experience and evolve. And if it is meant to be, more readers will surely come by.
The Key to a Happy Life
The Key to a happy life is realizing that life is not about living 50 years in one day. Life is about living 50 years as 50 individual years. Experiencing the ups and downs, the laughter and cry, the comfort and pain…
It is also about realizing that pain is a part of life. Pain is essential to bloom. The pain we are experiencing today is triggering our transformation. It is a part of becoming. It is building us, so that we are ready to handle the new terrains and granted wishes.
It is also about making wise choices. The pain we are willing to tolerate. The boundaries we are willing to bend. The people we are willing to sacrifice for. The actions we are willing to take.

The Productivity Trap
Everything around us teaches us that life is successful when each moment is used productively. The level of satisfaction from each moment is measured against the money each second generated.
But it is a lie. In the end only those moments where we laughed whole heartedly matters. Man created money to serve his needs, to make transactions easier. But with time man has become its slave. Understanding that the productivity trap has been made to fulfill the needs of a consumerist society will set us free. They market all the luxury and comfort to us. We believe that we can only achieve true happiness by collecting those priced goods. Hence we work day and night to make that extra dollar so that we can add more comfort.
But have you ever wondered who benefits from all this extra work? Our health deteriorates, we get a new designer bag or car. But the money reaches the corporate, thus aiding business. So that is why we are encouraged to keep working our heads off.
(In no way am I saying that money is evil or that working is bad. But we have to find that balance between living and grinding & experiencing and existing.)
We were not designed to be productive till the day we die. We were created to feel alive and enjoy living. That is why most of us are feeling burnt out and hopeless. Somewhere along the way, we traded our living for existence. We were conditioned to believe that all the toil would be worth it in the end. In the end, when we are old and tired.

‘The 15 Min’ a Day
We may not be at a place in life where we can follow our heart blindly. But, it is not impossible to set aside 15 minutes a day for doing what you really feel like doing. Doing what you heart really wants.
Trust me, the magic portal, is the first step. Once you muster the courage to make that first step, rest is history. Take that first step and the rest will follow. Find that 15 minutes today and the path will form itself.
We have so easily given in to the narrative that each moment should be used to make a profit. We have easily forgotten that the 15 minutes is truly what we want.
Life is not just about chasing. It is about living a life that you love.
The most famous argument is that ‘I have bills to pay and exams to attend’. But, my dear, these things will come up till the day we die. If we keep simply running from one thing to another, when will we live?
Take some time to listen to your heart. Find that 15 minutes starting today. It can be as anything, like spending extra 15 minutes with your family or restarting your long forgotten hobby. Find your passion. It will help you ground yourself. It will help you realize how grand this life truly is. It will open your eyes to the magnanimity of creation.
Parting Thoughts
Life will happen no matter where we are and how we are. But it is our choice to enjoy it and experience it, or fight it and chase it.
It is possible to create a world where we are not chasing life. We can create a world where we are at peace and don’t have to battle anxieties. A world where the pains are meaningful. A world where we are alive.
If you are up for it. Please join our growing community. Let us rewrite the narratives together.
Cheers to a meaningful and slow life.
