Sometimes I wonder,’Ain’t humans the most cruel species out there?’ It is like all the good that we do and preach as a species gets negated by the unimaginable horror we do.

Stop before you say, “but those are only a few people.” Although it is only a few that actively engage in the act, almost 98%-99% of us choose to be silent witnesses or observers. Isn’t that something worrying?

We have taken other species from their natural habitat and called it taming. Then we went on to use their flesh, skin, hair, milk, egg, nail, teeth and whatever. We exploit them in all the possible ways. Horrors carried out by certain industries are better left unsaid, at least for now.

But silence doesn’t erase the torture that we are inflicting on these helpless creatures. We even separate them from their families, for experiments, for profits, for health and medicine and etc. Puppies and kittens are taken away from the mother, new borns like a calf or kid are separated from their mother and sometimes even sold for extracting maximum milk.

We act like we are entitled to these souls. In the end or maybe from the beginning, they are treated like soul-less and brainless creatures. But time and time again it has been proven that animals feel like humans or maybe even on a deeper level.

They are beings who are entitled to this Earth and its resources just like us. They are made to be free, to breathe, to enjoy, to run around, to love openly and most importantly to experience life. 💕

They have a soul, a beating heart, emotions and pains. Hope that someday humans will see other animals for what they truly are; Pure souls with all flaws like humans. And see what humans truly are; just another animal.

If Darwin (theory of evolution) is right, it is totally possible for a much more advanced species to develop. Let us pray that it will show mercy on us that we as a species lack.
